Title: Graphic Designer & Marketing Coordinator

High Level Overview Of Responsibilities— Email marketing, social media marketing & management, copywriting & content creation, web design, and marketing deliverables for G&C Foods – a value added Redistributor of refrigerated, frozen, and dry food products based in Syracuse, NY.


As a graphic designer and marketing coordinator, I create deliverables for use in house as well as on behalf of suppliers partnered with G&C Foods to help move products for featured items or lines we take on. This spans monthly marketing programs, larger in house projects, event collateral, and ad hoc deliverables. Our team runs lean, and so our work comprises a large variety of skills.

Creation of marketing emails using Sendgrid —

  • Marketing new and existing products on behalf of suppliers to reach distributors and other customers.

  • Communicate key company announcements, including growth and new facility launches internally and to our partners.

  • Promote authority content such as news articles

  • Drive engagement and strengthen brand identity through effective email campaigns.

Designing social media posts for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn —

  • Posts are created using Canva and Adobe Suite, as well as other app such as One Second A Day.

  • Posts are used to promote internal company culture & events, B2B events such as the Vendor Appreciation event and trade shows, as well as products to customers (distributors), and social media campaigns involving value added offerings.

  • Posts are scheduled, promoted and managed using Hootsuite and native app analytics.

Copywriting & Creation of authority content

  • Creation of long form content to be used as marketing support and establishing online authority or expertise.

  • Creation of content supports SEO and web rankings. Creatively marries keywords, relevancy, and storytelling to capture target audience and customers to gain trust and industry authority.

  • Creates articles detailing industry authority & expertise to build trust. Utilizes storytelling to capture audience and increase conversions.

Every day marketing collateral —

  • Deliverables are made every day on calendar cadence and per request basis, for unique and changing needs. They serve a wide variety of purposes, including supporting sales representatives, managers, buyers, marketing, and interdepartmental use.

  • Deliverables include but are not limited to one sheets, market ads, spiffs, slide decks, infographics, PDF booklets, event collateral, trade booth displays, digital graphics for web development, and signage.

Web design —

  • Strategizes to improve user experience and conversions using user profiles, google analytics, and creation of marketing and sales funnels. Creates pages as funnels, content supports and drives action.

  • Improvement of SEO by way of content marketing and connection with audience.

  • Content first planning and implementation of web pages, creation of relevant and appealing digital assets to support content.

  • Utilizes HTML & CSS to improve web pages, and create workarounds where web host falls short on delivery.

Team and Interdepartmental collaboration —

  • Collaborates regularly with marketing team on plans of action, deliverables, successes and where there is room for improvement.

  • Consults managers including but not limited to president of purchasing, merchandising, and sales on direction of distributor facing marketing programs & how to reach vendors and suppliers.
